TIRED OF:

Trying to figure out how AE reads .MA files!

Weird Names of After Effects Objects

Having you Units In AE really HUGE!

Correctly naming, copying or creating nulls, baking, then exporting cameras and objects that you want positions for in AE?

Having to redo all the steps and reconnect all your expressions because you made changes?

ME TOO! Download this tool to change all that!

TYPE 'rcExport2AE' for the Interface!

This Script Bakes Camera and Object Positions to a compatible format that After Effects understands and imports.

Allieviates the need to understand the limitations of After Effects Import of Maya Ascii files.

Puts a Comp "CAM2AE" in AE

Bake Selected Camera

Bakes a constrained copy of the currently selected camera to the length of the timeline for export to After Effects.

Matches All CameraShape Focal Length Animation

Keeps your original camera untouched.

Bake Selected Object

Creates a baked "null_(ObjectName)_baked" locator for every selected Object

Renames the Shape Node for more appropriate labels in After Effects

If you are using a different version of After Effects or have it installed in a custom location use the Maya Ascii Export option to manually import the file into After Effects!
